This page is the index page to all of the entries I have extracted from Monumental Inscriptions recorded, or
that I have recorded myself, in England. The counties included (in descending order of number of entries) are Suffolk,
Cambridgeshire, Essex and Kent.
Whilst every effort is made to be accurate, it is inevitable that there are transcription errors - it's extremely
hard ro read stones which may be up to 300 years old. There are also cases where the information on the gravestone
clearly contradicts the information given in the Burial register.
Please also note that the existence of a name on a monument does not mean that the person is buried at that
spot. Esepcially in the case of family tombs, a person may actually have died or been buried elsewhere.
